Greater Flexibility in Organic Crop Protection: Kwizda Agro Expands Portfolio for the 2026 Season
New Solutions for Vineyards, Fruit, and Vegetable Farming, Plus Expanded Advisory Services in Southwest Germany
Meckesheim/Vienna, January 22, 2026... Kwizda Agro is expanding its biological cropprotection portfolio in Germany for the 2026 growing season and simultaneously increasing its regional advisory services. With new and enhanced solutions for viticulture, fruit, and vegetable farming—including Limocide®, Sulphuris 800 SC, TRICO® Silva, and KWIZDA® Kupro—Kwizda Agro is offering growers additional options for both organic and integrated crop protection. As of January 1, 2026, Steffen Patzelt has joined the German crop protection specialist’s team as Sales Advisor for the Southwest region, supporting Sales Manager Jens Johannes in customer service.
“In wine, fruit, and vegetable production today, holistic strategies are essential: growers need programs that can flexibly adapt to changing weather and infection pressure while delivering reliable results in both organic and integrated crop protection. That’s exactly why we’re expanding our offerings and simultaneously increasing advisory resources,” says Andreas Reischütz, Country Manager Germany & Austria at Kwizda Agro.
Tackling Powdery Mildew, Downy Mildew, and Browsing Damage: More Biological Tools for Robust IPM Programs
Crop protection in vineyards, orchards, and vegetable fields remains a balancing act: risks from powdery mildew (Oidium) and downy mildew (Peronospora) must be effectively addressed. At the same time, demands for sustainability, resistance management, and practical usability are rising. This is why, in 2026, Kwizda Agro is strengthening its integrated strategies, offering a smart combination of different modes of action with the following portfolio additions:
- Sulphuris 800 SC complements the Kwizda Agro line-up as a liquid sulfur formulation with contact action against powdery mildew, designed for ease of use.
- KWIZDA® Kupro adds a copper-based option for organic downy mildew strategies.
- Limocide® joins the portfolio as a fast-acting, contact-based solution featuring orange oil. In viticulture, Limocide® can serve as an important component in powdery mildew programs, while also providing control of fungal diseases, insects, and mites in fruit and vegetable cultivation.
- TRICO® Silva provides a long-lasting brush-on solution against browsing damage— an increasingly significant factor in the establishment and maintenance of young plantings.
On-Site Advisory: Team Expansion for Stronger Support
As biological control programs grow more complex, so does the need for expert guidance. Kwizda Agro is therefore expanding its presence in Germany: effective January 1, 2026, Steffen Patzelt takes on responsibilities as Sales Advisor Southwest, supporting Sales Manager Jens Johannes. “It’s crucial that growers receive more than just individual products; they need clear recommendations on how to combine tools like Sulphuris 800 SC, Limocide®, or KWIZDA® Kupro throughout the season and how to respond to specific periods of disease pressure. By strengthening our team in the Southwest, we are enhancing our support for growers and their day-to-day needs,” says Jens Johannes, Sales Manager Germany at Kwizda Agro.
