Vienna, March 2, 2026. Kwizda Agro continues to evolve its organizational structure in Austria: Effective March 1, 2026, Josef Schlagenhaufen (60) will take over as Head of the Product Management & Consulting teams at the market leader for crop protection solutions in Austria. This role has previously been handled jointly by Andreas Reischütz, who will now focus on his responsibilities as Country Manager for Austria and Germany. With this new appointment, the company is responding to the positive development of recent years and it will continue to focus strongly on customer needs moving forward.

“Our organization has grown significantly in recent years—personnel-wise, geographically, and in the portfolio,” says Kwizda Agro Managing Director Ronald Hamedl. “To sustainably accompany this dynamic growth, we need clear structures and strong technical leadership in product management and in our consulting teams. Josef Schlagenhaufen brings the necessary experience, market knowledge, and strategic expertise to the table.”

Josef Schlagenhaufen has been with Kwizda Agro for 24 years and is thoroughly familiar with the products and markets. In his new role, he is responsible for the technical leadership of the product management and consulting team in Austria as well as the further development of the portfolio in close collaboration with portfolio and asset management. “For us, product management is the interface between strategic portfolio development and practical application,” says Hamedl. “The goal is to introduce innovations to the market in a structured way and simultaneously to systematically feed real-world requirements back into the organization.”

For Schlagenhaufen, long-term stability in this area is paramount: “Our portfolio is continuously evolving—both in the biological and conventional sectors. What matters most is that we further intertwine our product strategy, consulting, and market requirements. My aim is to further strengthen this connection together with the teams and to ensure lasting knowledge transfer within the Austrian organization,” says Josef Schlagenhaufen.

This personnel reorganization in product management is part of ongoing organizational development. Kwizda Agro thus ensures that strategic portfolio work, consulting expertise, and market requirements remain systematically interlinked, benefitting trade customers and farmers alike. This close coordination forms the basis for sustainable development and a future-oriented alignment of the company, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
