Philip Richter to head new Business Development unit at Kwizda Agro
New organizational unit drives sales efficiency and geographic expansion as central pillars of growth
Vienna, 30 June 2026. Effective July 1, 2026, Philip Richter (40) will take over leadership of the newly created Business Development unit within Kwizda Agro’s CROP Solutions division. In his new role, Richter will drive forward the two central pillars of growth, “Sales Efficiency” and “Geographic Expansion,” and thereby help shape the international development of Kwizda Agro. The previous head of the Project Management Office brings to this task extensive experience in cross-functional projects, agile working methods, and the structured implementation of growth initiatives.
New unit consolidates central growth initiatives
The new Kwizda Agro unit consolidates central growth initiatives with a clear focus on profitability and efficiency. With Philip Richter, Kwizda Agro is relying on a manager who in recent years has guided key transformation projects within the company and established new forms of collaboration. “The next steps in our growth require us to take new paths while consistently developing existing structures further,” says Kwizda Agro Managing Director Ronald Hamedl. “In Philip Richter, we gain a leader for this task who combines strategic understanding, strong execution, and experience in complex, cross-functional projects.”
Experience in agile projects and cross-functional implementation
Philip Richter has been with Kwizda Agro since 2023 and previously headed the Project Management Office. In this role, he played a central part in building up PMO structures and in introducing agile working methods within the company. Most recently, he successfully led an International Sales project. In doing so, he integrated team members from various operational units and ensured rapid, efficient, and cross-departmental project progress. This experience now forms the foundation for his new role within CROP Solutions.
Data-based sales management for scalable growth
A central focus of the new Business Development unit under Philip Richter’s leadership is the further development of data-based sales processes. The goal is to increase efficiency and controllability together with the country organizations. Digital tools such as a future CRM system and the KX Planner are intended to help steer activities more precisely and create a sound basis for decision-making. This is designed to support sustainable growth and the expansion of market share.
Systematically unlocking growth potential
“In my previous projects at Kwizda Agro, I have seen how much potential emerges when teams work together toward clear goals across country and functional boundaries,” says Philip Richter. “With my new team, I want to unlock growth opportunities more systematically, manage sales processes on a more data-based footing, and support our colleagues in the countries with practical tools. This will allow us to develop new markets in a more targeted way and to further strengthen existing customer relationships.”
Organizational development for international expansion
With his new role, Richter takes on a central part in the further internationalization of Kwizda Agro. The Business Development unit is intended to consolidate growth initiatives more strongly, deploy sales resources more effectively, and create the basis for sustainable geographic expansion. In this way, Kwizda Agro combines organizational development with a clear mandate: to serve existing markets more efficiently, to unlock new market potential in a structured manner, and to continue growing as an innovative and reliable partner to agriculture.
